You may pay for a clinician visit or recertification, a state application or registration, payment processing, and then products and taxes. The eight states below are examples; this is not a full list of state fees or a quote for your total cost. The amounts shown are state program fees only, unless a separate processing charge is listed. Sources were checked 2026-10-23; fees can change.
Ask a clinic what the visit and later recertification will cost before booking. Check your state's instructions for application, replacement and processing charges. Even with a $0 state fee, you may still pay for the clinician visit and products.

A lower state fee does not always mean a lower total cost. Clinician prices, renewal frequency, fee reductions, processing charges, taxes and product prices vary. We have not estimated clinician fees here. If a state is missing from this table, its fee has not been checked; that does not mean its fee is $0.
If you are already enrolled, check the expiry and renewal guide as well as the current fee schedule. For a broader state context, use the state law guides.
